Horse Racing Faller Insurance

Horse FallingOne of the biggest disappointment when betting during the jump season is having your horse to fall at a fence before even having a go to try and win the race. Horse falling is happening more frequently than you might think considering that Coral alone during the last National Hunt season has refunded bets on 1,062 horses that fell during selected races!

Jump races are held during the whole year while the National Hunt jump season lasts from mid-October until the end of April. Even if generally the National Hunt is less prestigious than flat races as it has lower prize money, it does boast the two biggest races in the world with the Aintree Grand National and the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Best Faller Insurance Bookmakers & Betting Sites

CoralCoral  – Money Back If Your Horse Falls

Coral has without any doubts the most reliable faller insurance of the industry. This betting site has been running this promotion for years now, and it gives back to customers a significant amount of money every season.

One of the most famous refunds happened in 2015 when fancied and backed Annie Power was a full six lengths clear at Cheltenham but fall at the last fence. This fall cost punters around £40 million in winnings, but punters who backed the horse with Coral didn’t lose a single penny up to a £25 stake.

Coral Offers On National Hunt Jump Season

You will be pleased to know that this popular Coral offer is back for the National Hunt jump season: there will be at least one jump meeting a day, normally more, where Coral will offer the faller insurance. If the horse will fall or if something else happens that he cannot finish the race, then your money is protected up to £25: you will get money back as a horse racing free bet which will be valid for 24 hours. The offer does not apply to horses that pull up. Refunds are made on win singles and the win part of each-way bets. In addition to this promotion, you will also be able to get a free bet club with Coral. Those two offers, especially if you have several bets a week, can deliver added value to your gambling activity. Coral Full Review.

How To Make The Most Of Faller Insurance

If you are regularly betting on horse racing, it makes absolute sense to take advantage of those deals when they are available. Typically you can combine them with other offers such as best odds guaranteed and enhanced odds deals and really add value to your racing bets.

Larger Fields In National Hunt Races

National Hunt races are run on larger fields and are usually longer than flat races: for this reason, the faller insurance can be beneficial as the conflict between horses tend to happen more often, and many falls or jockeys are being unseated. Another thing to consider is that since the National Hunt is over the winter falls and slips are more common due to wet and muddy tracks. As if this wasn’t enough hurdles races have smaller fences than steeplechases, so fewer horses are falling.

Similarly to what we have said about Coral if you are also getting features such as best odds guaranteed and also enhanced places you can significantly add value to your horseracing bets. Don’t expect to find faller insurance on the Grand National but surely you will get it for the Cheltenham festival. For more information check our horse racing guide to betting.

Faller Insurance Terms & Conditions

  • Pulling Up – In case the horse pulls up with the jockey still seated than you will not get your money back.
  • Other Non-Finishing Reasons – If the horse does not complete for any other reason rather than falling, unseating or being brought down, then the bookmaker will not give you the refund.
  • Each-Way – In this case, you will only get a refund on the win part of each way bets. Tote bets, place bets and others will not be counted.
  • Stewards Decision – This is the only decision that will count for bookies.

Stakes are refunded only up to a certain amount which is usually £25.
